Club Events

Throughout the year the Club hosts an exciting and varied programme of events which ensure that members of all ages can meet and socialise. Dance Evenings

The Club has a dancing programme aimed at those of all abilities. Regular practices for beginners are mixed with our biannual reeling evenings, ceilidh nights and the Club Ball each May. Practices are all led by qualified RSCDS instructors, who are on hand to call the dances for the reeling evenings and the Ball. We are committed to ensuring the dance programmes at the reeling evenings and the Club Ball are varied in order to be rewarding for advanced dancers whilst including dances that newcomers to the dancing scene will feel happy approaching.

Musical Performances

The Events Committee curates a vibrant musical programme for Members and guests, spanning engaging external outings and intimate in-house performances. Recent highlights include visits to the Royal Opera House, the BBC Proms, and West End hits. Closer to home, our calendar features everything from elegant lunchtime classical recitals to relaxed evenings of jazz and folk.

Wine Evenings

A superb selection of wines at Club prices is offered on the extensive wine list, drawn from a cellar and created over the lifetime of the Club. The Club hosts cellar tastings for Members and their guests throughout the year as well as more formal wine dinners, with one recently based around a menu devised by the National Chef of Scotland, Gary Maclean.
